Periolase
The Periolase laser is changing forever the way that we treat gum (periodontal disease). Patients who had unresolved gum disease used to have to undergo painful surgery, but the Periolase enables us to treat these patients without any cutting or stitching!
Patients treated using the Periolase experience much less discomfort than with standard surgery and their recovery time is much shorter—less than 24 hours compared with two to four weeks after traditional gum surgery.
The long-lasting results of Periolase treatment are remarkable. Five years after treatment, 98 percent of patients treated with the Periolase remain stable, while only five percent remain stable after gum surgery.
